A magical place called the Ian Russell Gallery

Step into the vibrant world of the Ian Russell Gallery of Fine Art, where "normal" stays at the door and whimsy takes center stage. For six years, I’ve been incredibly blessed to have my work call this downtown Prescott gem home—a partnership that started in the most high-stakes way possible.
Picture this: the Phippen Museum Western Art Show & Sale at the Courthouse Plaza. I was participating in the "Quick Draw," a grueling, hour-long sprint where artists attempt the impossible: finishing a painting under extreme pressure before it's immediately auctioned off. Luckily, my easel was right next to Ian’s. Between frantic brushstrokes, we started talking. He told me he’d always loved my work and wanted to represent me. The rest, as they say, is colorful history!
If you haven’t visited yet, let me tell you—this isn’t your typical, hushed art gallery. Thank goodness! It is a destination. Ian and his wife, Lisa, have curated a space that is playful, wondrous, and "weird" in the absolute best way. They have an incredible eye for art that carries a soul and a sense of humor.
Ian himself is a brilliant artist, known for his stunning watercolor animals, and he brings that same creative passion to the business side. These two are simply wonderful humans who genuinely care about their artists. Ian’s dedication is unmatched—he’ll frequently drive all the way to California just to hand-pick new pieces to ensure the gallery stays fresh and exciting. I don't know where he gets the energy, but his hustle is why the gallery feels so alive.
Whether you are a longtime collector or just looking for a spark of joy, you have to come see the exclusive pieces I have on display. Here is a link to the originals you can find there from my website: https://megharper.com/pages/ian-russel-gallery You can browse current collections online, but nothing beats seeing the textures and colors in person.
Next time you’re heading up to Prescott, make the Ian Russell Gallery your first stop. Come say hi to Ian and Lisa, soak in the whimsical vibes, and find a piece of art that makes your heart smile. Kudos to Ian and Lisa for keeping the magic alive—I’m so proud to be part of the family!
