If you’re looking for a reason to escape to the mountains, let me give you the best one yet: a visit to The Evergreen Gallery in the heart of downtown Evergreen, Colorado. I’ve been enjoying a long-distance love affair with this beautiful space for many moons now, and it’s high time you experienced the magic for yourself!
Our story began back in 2019—definitely "BC" (Before COVID)—at a massive wholesale trade show in Denver. If you’ve never seen one, imagine a giant building packed with everything from handmade soaps to t-shirts. It was my first and only wholesale show, and amidst the chaos, I met the owner, Beth. She walked into my booth with a certain sparkle in her eye and a wonderfully grounded energy. She fell in love with my work, and I knew instantly we were a perfect business match.
Evergreen holds a special place in my heart. We have deep roots there with dear friends, and our land in Como isn’t too far away, making every trip feel like a homecoming. The downtown area has that classic, rugged Western charm—compact, walkable, and absolutely packed with local treasures. The Evergreen Gallery is the crown jewel of that strip.
Beth has curated an incredible variety of art that goes way beyond your typical gallery walls. You’ll find everything from hand-thrown mugs and intricate jewelry to my own vibrant paintings and prints. Every time I visit to catch up with Beth and see "who’s new," I’m blown away by the talent she showcases. It’s the kind of place where you don’t just "shop"—you discover something truly unique and special that actually speaks to you.
Between the gallery and the local Evergreen Fine Art Festival, I’ve loved building a community of collectors in this beautiful town. There is something about the mountain air and the creative spirit of the locals that makes my work feel right at home.
So, if you’re anywhere near the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Support a local business, say hello to Beth, and maybe take home an original Meg Harper piece to brighten your space. Trust me, it’s worth the trip!
