Emotional Connection: Animal imagery often evokes feelings of warmth, nostalgia, and affection. Viewing such art can trigger positive memories and emotions, providing comfort and solace. That is exactly what I mean when people tell me stories of their interactions with wildlife or their pet.

Nature’s Influence: Art that depicts animals can bring a sense of nature indoors, reminding viewers of the beauty and tranquility of the natural world. This connection to nature can reduce stress and promote relaxation. We all know that being in the natural world is healing, well animals are part of this world. It's no wonder they calm us down.

Symbolism: Animals often carry symbolic meanings, representing qualities such as strength, freedom, or loyalty. These symbols can resonate with viewers on a personal level, offering inspiration and encouragement. I know for me birds symbolize freedom. You will see birds in many of my paintings because of this symbolism.

Mindfulness and Presence: Engaging with art, including animal paintings, can foster mindfulness. It encourages viewers to be present, promoting a meditative state that can be soothing and healing. I like that art takes you somewhere in your mind, I focus on having your mind go to joy, love and laughter mostly.

Aesthetic Pleasure: The beauty of animal art can elevate mood and promote positive feelings, contributing to overall well-being. My work does this through the colors I use as well. I use very high vibrational colors!!

In summary: I suggest having images of animals that feel good to you in your home some how some way. You will benefit by having this imagery on your walls or with sculpture. It brings you closer to nature and will calm and soothe you. I wish there was a way to do a scientific experiment with my paintings in peoples' homes to see how their heart rate, blood pressure, and overall wellness are affected because I know they are a positive force!

I am constantly struck by the immediate reaction of people seeing animals and the joy they receive. I also hear so many stories of people seeing a certain wild animal and how much it impacted their day, month, year!
They truly make a difference in our hearts, brains, and chemistry and here's what I found:
