Aspen Drama

I love the way aspens vibrate at a high frequency, and this one caught them at full volume — a stand of trunks lit up in blue and violet with the canopy going orange and gold overhead. It's painted on reclaimed corrugated tin, so the ridges and valleys in the metal catch the light and the whole grove shifts as you walk past it, which is exactly how a real aspen stand behaves in the afternoon. The drama isn't something I added — it was already there in the trees, and I just tried to keep up.
